I just use this journal to have an extra friends list if anyone is curious (as if my other one wasn't enough)! Hah. Even though I do post random things here from time to time.

Just because you know, I could use a good laugh from time to time and this thing is just too funny because so acts too serious for her own good. She should just get over herself, lol.

Have recently gotten into Sarah McLachlan. After years of resisting (despite loving Angle for forever), last week I bought her Rarities, B-sides and other stuff vol.2. Enjoyed it so much I bought Mirrorball and Surfacing. I may just but Afterglow with my next check.

I have an account over at Fiction Press. Just a few minutes ago, on a whim, I submitted something I've had in my head for 14 or 15 years now. A while back I wrote it in my hardcover journal but now here it is for everyone else to read.
Banshee's Song
It wasn't written to be morbid. It just came out that way.

.. and this is likely one of them. I'm missing so much of the news on the JKR vs RDR trail it ain't funny. It takes me nearly all day to catch up leaving me with only a little while for everything else.
Thank God for Fandom_Wank, MuggleNet and jkrtrialblog (how I heart thee) and not to mention the amount of wank in the first entry alone. *boggles*
Oooh Ghost Hunters comes on shortly. See ya later.

So I just got temporarily laid-off from mt job. Ugh! Bob said it could be around the last of March before I got called back (first once on 2nd shift that is). Ugh at least I can draw unemployment for the short while I'll be off.
*sighs* At least I can sleep in for a while. In the meantime me and Mom went out of town so I could go to the bookstore and pick up copies of the latest SciFi and Stargate ($10! WTF!) magazines. I also go the #100 issue of the Star Wars Insider and a CSI book (In Extremis by Ken Goddard) I don't know if I should Pre-Order Ark of truth or wait and see if Wal-Mart will have it in my location (it's on their site but I'd rather have it the same day it comes out)
I'm also considering pre-ordering that SG-1 audio drama "Gift of the Gods" voiced by the lovely Michael Shanks (Hubba Hubba!) Also we went to old Navy where I liked almost NOTHING there this time . I did, however, pick up a few pairs of metallic flip-flops for $5 a pair (Artichoke, Silver and Gold, but I prefer to call the first pair Olive because thats the color I thought of when I saw that gorgeous set. I would've bought the Bronze pair as well, but the didn't have it in my size *fumes* The did have a lovely Pearl-ish pair but the color was so light I decided not to buy them (show dirt WAY too easily)
But I swear other than The AOT DVD and the Audio Drama I'm going to save every penny not spent on bills, for my April or May Beach getaway with my Mom, possibly an Aunt or two, and if we can swing it a Cousin.
Also: forgive me the last entry before this one annoys anyone. I was playing with an online toy and I wanted to put it in my journal.

I was trying to look up a quote from Austen's Pride & Prejudice ("He began to feel the danger of paying Elizabeth too much attention.") when I remembered I haven't yet posted one of my favorite poems here yet. I blame the lovely Stuart Townsend and his movie 'About Adam' for bringing it to my attention.
Goblin Market by Christina Rossetti
I am still trying to wrap my mind around the idea that Heath Ledger is forever lost to us. I may not have seen very movie he ever did but what little I have seen him in (A Knight's Tale, 10 Things I Hate About You, Brokeback Mountain, The Brothers Grimm, The Order (I hope I'm remembering that name correctly) but everything I have seen him in only made me want to see him more. I'll have to look up some of his movie at Blockbuster and rent them sometime. Heath was quickly becoming of my favorite actors ever and now all I can do is wonder what could've been. In fact he is the only reason I'm even going the see the next Batman movie (The Dark Knight) is to see his take on "The Joker". I haven't even see Batman Begins , nor will I ever, if not for Heath I wouldn't be going to this one.
Poor little Matilda Rose.

I know I've been terrible in not posting anything since before Christmas but I hope to change that. I convinced Mom last month to let get a years paid account for this so no one here would have to deal with the ads on this page. But even still, as of now almost no one knows this journal exists. I shall try to change that but how does one go about telling everyone in their family "Hey I've got a blog! Go read it...please?"
You may notice a bit of a difference in the way I talk here than in person and I suppose that's probably because I'm a bit more articulate with written/typed words than I am with spoken. Even John (my former case-worker from the Tennessee Rehabilitation program) has noticed this. Not that his opinion means all that much to me anymore, he nor Mary weren't really all that a great deal of help now that I look at it now.
Things have been so busy I've barely anytime to myself Monday through Friday although during breaks and lunch at work I find a little time to read or write (I write SG-1 fan fiction, or I try at least) and no I won't let you see, not now at least, perhaps when it's finished? A few naughty words may have slipped into the fic here and there but it suited one on my Original Characters rather well.
Ah well that's all I can think of to say for now. I hope to find more time to write a bit more at a later date.

That's exactly what I thought when one of our nice neighbors dropped off a plate of fudge (both kinds! chocolate AND peanut butter). I was surprised by how heavy it was (maybe about two pounds?). When I got it to the kitchen and opened up the foil covering the plate my jaw literally dropped and my first thought was, literally, "Mom's Gonna Freak!"
EDIT: Whoops! Now that I reread the card that came with it I realize that it was Mom's friend that gave us the fudge.

As you can tell by my username (branjelle) that it is a combination of all three parts of my name (I wanted something original yet something that I could be easily identified here).
That being said I'll now move onto a different subject...MuggleCast (a Harry Potter discussion podcast) I wrote to them a day or so ago. I hope they read it when they recorded their latest show (yet to be released) it's nothing important. Although at work and listening to random mugglecasts I got a slightly uneasy/queasy feeling in my stomach about what their reactions might be. I still get slightly panicky at the thought of my words, from an e-mail might be read over a podcast where thousands would hear them!
But the episode they recorded Thursday (124) would be the DVD release podcast. I don't even know if they'll get to it this week or next (125) or if ever. All I can do is wait and see what happens (and possibly have a mini-panic attack if they ever do get around to it)
